At a young age, while homeless, Auston had to drop out of school to work to support his family. In his twenties, Auston went back to school and earned his high school diploma. Finishing his degree in business and opening his first restaurant, administration is not new to Auston.
In his years at Family, he has been involved in both overseeing and building several ministries: Club Retro (an all-ages music venue), The Spot Youth, MOVEMENT and The Attic Music Venue. Along with working with youth and young adults, Auston is a talented promoter and works within the local music scene and multiple regional businesses.
In 2016, Auston became an Oliver when he was adopted by Matthew and Siobhan. Having experienced God’s faithfulness, protection, and provision throughout all the challenges of his difficult life, Auston has a heart to see people encounter God’s love, through the building of genuine friendships and community.
